March General Meeting - Mothers Out Front Kansas City

Mothers Out Front KC Monthly General Meetings (every 4th Monday of the month)

Join Mothers Out Front Kansas City for their monthly general meeting. Learn how we are building a powerful grassroots movement to ensure a swift, complete, and just transition away from fossil fuels and towards clean, renewable energy. Our goal is to pressure Kansas City area political, business, and economic institutions to align their priorities and actions with the reality of climate change and its impacts. Our monthly general meetings are a great time to learn more about our organization and the work we are doing to support a liveable climate for the kids of Kansas City. Together we can create a healthy climate today and a livable future for all children.

This month we are excited to be joined by Billy Davies, Conservation Organizer with Sierra Club’s Missouri Chapter. Billy will talk to us about Sierra’s work in the KC region and how Mothers Out Front and Sierra members can work together, especially in this important moment when Kansas City is developing their Climate Protection and Resiliency Plan.

Monthly call to action: Methane leaks from gas pipes contribute to pollution, accelerate climate change and can kill street trees. Would you like to know if there are methane gas leaks in your neighborhood putting trees at risk? Learn what you can do right now to help at this month’s meeting.
