May General Meeting - Mothers Out Front Kansas City, with special guest: Sami Aaron, The Resilient Activist

Mothers Out Front KC Monthly General Meetings (4th Monday of every month)

Join Mothers Out Front Kansas City for their monthly general meeting. Learn how we are building a powerful grassroots movement to ensure a swift, complete, and just transition away from fossil fuels and towards clean, renewable energy. Our goal is to pressure Kansas City area political, business, and economic institutions to align their priorities and actions with the reality of climate change and its impacts. Our monthly general meetings are a great time to learn more about our organization and the work we are doing to support a liveable climate for the kids of Kansas City. Together we can create a healthy climate today and a livable future for all children.

Special guest: The Resilient Activist is a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to build resilience, optimism, and hope in response to the impact of the climate crisis. They provide community-building programs that offer self-care and mental health support. Their programs are immersed in deep nature-connection and designed to nourish positive ecological change. Their programs are built around the Five Essentials for a Resilient World:

  • Reconnect to Nature
  • Respect all Life
  • Re-green our Planet
  • Revamp our Spending
  • Replenish our Resources
