MA - People Over Pipelines March

July 14-18

Over five days in July, hundreds of people will march the route of Spectra’s proposed pipeline projects all the way to the State House to show our leaders that if they don't stop the pipelines, we will. Join 350 Mass/Better Future Project, the Mass Power Forward coalition, and other Mothers Out Front for a few hours, a day, or the whole thing. RSVP here, and check out the website for details. Housing and food will be provided.

Here are some key points to join the march and meet Mothers Out Front:

Sunday, July 17 - NOTE: Events have changed slightly to work around a big music festival on Boston Common.

  • 2:00-2:45pm: Rally at Ruggles Station

  • 2:45pm: Last stretch of the march from Ruggles T station to the State House

  • 4:15pm: Very brief remarks on the State House steps

  • 4:20-4:50pm: Closing ceremony at the plaza at 10 Ashburton Pl:

    • Mothers Out Front welcomes mothers, families, and others with lemonade, ice cream, play, and music.  Look for our banner next to the State House.  We’ll be there, rain or shine a half-block from the Ashburton Park entrance to the State House.

Monday, July 18

  • 9:30am:  Gather on the State House steps

  • 10:15am:  Rally inside the State House and march to Governor Baker's office to ask for a meeting. No meeting? 350MA will hold a training on the steps for a future sit-in at the Governor’s office.

Join our pipeline march team!  Mothers Out Front is organizing a team for the march or the evening gatherings along the route to talk with people, build relationships, and learn more about the needs of people directly impacted by the pipeline projects. Contact Susan Lees to join this group: [email protected].
